Save the date: New England Bergamasco Gathering

A relaxed and fun family day with our Bergamascos June 8th 2013

Please join us on Saturday, June 8th, 2013 for a picnic and hike at Goddard Memorial State Park. Our group will have a field, gazebo and picnic tables reserved just for us and our dogs! Access to hiking trails, swimming beach, and the grounds of this beautiful park.

Enjoy a brick over pizza truck lunch in the park!

Saturday, Jun 8th, 10am

Activities:
- Meet and greet at Shelter F
- Bergamasco gift basket raffle
- Bergamasco apparel available for purchase
- Fully catered lunch of brick oven pizza and drinks $10.00 pp to be paid in advance.
- Hike through the woods and to the beach
- Coat help
- Handling instruction and help
- Post picnic walk down Main st. in East Greenwich and visit to Bone Apetit Dog Bakery

What to bring:
- Chairs
- Blankets
- ex-pens for your dogs (optional)

Park rules state that dogs must be leashed, but we usually let them have a good romp on the beach. There is a separate swimming beach with Lifeguards on duty.

Friday's results - Greater Philadelphia Dog Fanciers Association judged by Mrs. Karen C. Wilson

Dogs - BoB went to Zeus, Metteo placed 2nd
Bitches - BoOS went to GiGi, Essa placed 2nd, Fiamma placed 3rd, and Frida placed 4th. A Russell Terrier took Best of Miscellaneous

Saturday and Sunday was the National Dog Show which will be televised on Thanksgiving Day, on NBC, after the Macys Thanksgiving Day Parade. NBC did come to our area at the very end of the day so we may just be in a blip during the show. Don't blink!

New England Bergamasco Walk 2011

A video of the 3 rd annual BSCOA New England walk, which took place on October 16, in Goddard Menorial State park, Rhode Island. We had a great showing, with more Bergamascos than ever before. All dogs and humans had a wonderful hike to the beach, followed by a dinner gathering.

Bergamasco at AKC meet the breed in Vallejo Ca

The first California "meet the Bergamasco" took place on June 11, 2011 in Vallejo . It was a smashing success! We had 5 dogs ranging from 11 months (Sisko in the middle) to our grand dam (far right) owned by Mindy Shapiro. Roni Kump was in attendance with her recently adopted Bergamasco who was sporting a puppy cut.Having 5 dogs of varying ages was a great opportunity to show our wonderful breed at varying stages of development enabling the public to get a better understanding of our dogs. Everyone was on their best behavior and made a very favorable impression. Phaedra belonging to Nicole Kure took First place and Keniki McNeil took Best of opposite sex with youngster Sisko. It was a great day to get the gang out for their first debut and fun was had by all.

National Bergamasco Gathering 2011

The Bergamasco Gathering and Breed evaluation show was held in conjunction with the Greenwich Kennel club AKC show on June 11 2011. It was a great success and turn out; and an opportunity to show off our beautiful bergamascos both in and out of the Ring in our special single breed event.
