BSCA Championship title

The BSCA will be offerering a BSCA Championship Title to Bergamascos whom have earned a Certificate of Merit in the AKC Miscellaneous Class.

 

To earn a CM title suffix from AKC, one must obtain 15 points in accordance to the following point structure:

4/2

8/3

12/4

16/5

At a show, points are awarded if your dog gets Best of Breed if he/she competes against other Bergamascos.  Best of Opposite Sex to Best of Breed is awarded points if he/she competes against other Bergamascos of the same sex.  Best of Miscellaneous Class is awarded points based on the number of all the dogs of all the breeds competing in Miscellaneous Class.

 

For example:

 

At a show, competing are Mr. Bergamasco A, Mr. Bergamasco B, Ms. Bergamasco C, Ms. Bergamasco D, Mr. Rat Terrier, Mr. Russell Terrier, Ms. Pumi, & Ms. Chinook.

Mr. Rat Terrier, Mr. Russell Terrier, Ms. Pumi, & Ms. Chinook will all take 1st Place and Best of Breed because they don't have any other breed competition at the show.

Mr. Bergamasco A & Mr. Bergamasco B compete against each other, Mr. Bergamasco B takes 1st Place.

Then Ms. Bergamasco C & Ms. Bergamasco D compete against each other, Ms. Bergamasco C takes 1st place.

Then Mr. Bergamasco B & Ms. Bergamasco C compete against each other because they were the 1st place winners.  Mr. Bergamasco B takes Best of Breed and Ms. Bergmasco C takes Best of Opposite Sex to Best of Breed.

Then Mr. Bergamasco B competes against Mr. Rat Terrier, Mr. Russell Terrier, Ms. Pumi, & Ms. Chinook because they are all the Best of Breed winners.  Mr. Bergamasco B takes Best of Miscellaneous Class.

Mr. Bergamasco B/2 for taking Best of Breed with a total of four Bergamascos competing + 3 for taking Best of Miscellaneous Class with a total of 8 dogs competing in Miscellaneous Class that day for a total of 5

Ms. Bergamasco C/1 for taking Best of Opposite Sex to Best of Breed competing against one other female Bergamasco, Ms. Bergamasco D.
