Preserving The Past While Presenting The Future

28 years ago work began for the American Kennel Club to recognize the Bergamasco Sheepdog.
2024 will mark 26 years since the USA’s founding registered Bergamasco litter was born to Fauno and Gae, 8 puppies.
Preserving the Bergamascos of centuries past and paving the way for the Bergamascos of today, and
Hopefully presenting a future for this magnificent rare breed.

Established in 1996, the Bergamasco Sheepdog Club of America (BSCA) is registered with American Kennel Club as the Bergamasco Parent club.
The Club is dedicated to expanding awareness of this highly intelligent, gentle breed with its unique matted coat.

We do this through active showing, AKC Meet the Breed Events, careful breeding, offering breeders mentorship and providing information
and assistance to prospective owners and other persons interested in the breed.

Our Rescue Committee will go to the ends of the earth and beyond to save a Bergamasco.

The Bergamasco Sheepdog Club of America support does not stop with our members.
Our mission extends to anyone in need of assistance with their Bergamasco

We thank all of our members who help make this possible.
